two cip in three days. today was pretty interesting. there was this new boy, kang le, today being his second time there. and theres this other boy, in a way my kid since im his regular "teacher", brandon. hes really quite intelligent for his age, and quite adorable too. but his other side is this really cheeky boy who likes using words which arent all that pleasant, haha. so anw we were looking at brandon's science tb (btw, they're p2 and p3), sth abt muscles. then the two got into some talk abt being strong blabla. and then soon after, they got into a little fight. a punch here, a glare there.

kang le being the more gentle one ran away from brandon all petrified while velda clung on tight to brandon who was struggling hard. i ran to get the teacher. (the no. one solution) and SO, joe the teacher came in and talked to the boys. he had such an effective method. first he spoke to brandon, then kang le. as in, joe is this reallly quiet gentle man who actually gets the kids under control, i reckon by him being so nice. think the kids respect him and so they listen. it was so.. whats the word to use. sweet. cute? not sure. cos they were made to look each other in the eye and shake hands, say sorry. humbling, maybe. could tell they both had that tinge of unwillingness to let go. like, that small little bodies of theirs also have a strong sense of pride. :) quite amazing.

hmm other than that which happened this week.. school was very normal. we're starting our worship- sharing thing tmr. our first session this sem. praying it'll be the start of a really big movement! haha if i can call it that. i've got a big God. we can believe for BIG things! big fire big visions big harvest. big enthusiasm big crowd for prayer. all got to start with big actions and not just big talk. aite. the word big is starting to look weird but big is still desirable!

have a terrific week ahead! :)

Because of what Jesus Christ has done for me,
and because of my love for Him i pledge myself to purity.
I will choose to live my life as an example to my generation,
denying any lustful attractions.
I will seek God's will rather than my own selfish desires,
and I will keep myself from sin --
in my mind, speech, and actions.
I will live according to His Word and give myself to prayer.
I will fulfill my destiny.
I will reach my generation.

signed 23 March 2002.

that was really long ago when we signed our purity cards. but have always kept this card in my wallet, somewhere nearby where it is constantly in view. its a great reminder of what is expected of us! k see what it says. because of what He has done for us. its simply reciprocating what He first did for us. compared to what God has done for us, our part is peanuts. all we've got to do is make conscious decisions, keep our doings in check, ensure we always have our focuses right, seek His will before our own. hmm its alot easier to say than do. but we've got to try as we might!

recently made another pact with God. in the end its all about staying pure and acceptable in God's sight. don't want wagging fingers or disapproving looks from the big Daddy. :)

so then all you wonderful campers have a terrific time! let go and let God!

haha here to tell you more abt my driving escapade! and all thats happening here.

k cos we initially planned for this trip to be somewhat a 'missions' trip. haha yea like, tell our relatives here abt God? mom's side not saved yet. well last night my uncle was telling us abt what he watched on telly. this 90 yrs old abbot monk person was answering some questions posed by china university students. so my uncle was tellins us abt it. basically he believes that all Gods are the same. (all roads lead to rome?) also said that to know more abt a God you believe in you read the scriptures. and many of the religious teachings are the same, for e.g to love others and to be kind and all. the bible states that Jesus loves you. so that means He does not love me? and sth like, there are only 2 loves in the world. platonic and agape. we were kinda lost for words so anw jol started to talk abt what the bible says abt love. patient, kind, does not envy.. then suddenly -- the electricity downstairs went out. everything.

coincidence eh? or not. and then well there was a blackout in the entire house. so it was pitch darkness so we couldnt continue the conv. ended there and then, quite an opportunity lost.

but God did show up in His power too. we were abt to turn in in the mosquito-infested (due to no light) room after prayer. and then again in its suddeness -- the electricity supply was restored! -cheer. reminded us so much of youth camp 2003. one of the night sessions? no electricity just when session was abt to start but with a roomful of prayer warriors, kaboom the evils were destroyed. -hallelujah! :D

and another: the night before the house was leaking pretty bad from the middle of the night. a very recent problem. dripdripdrip. my uncle was climbing into the roof trying to rectify the excess H20 problem. we were praying hard again and then the water soon ceased to flow. amen and amen! even though the ceiling was quite soaked it was alot better. :)

so yea in the short 2 days (so much) happened. more to come? haha how eventful. tmr onward will be another side of penang life. going over to my grand's. where the food is in greater abundance along with the pampering. :)

oh and yesterdays driving! progressed to the high ways and busier main roads. longer stretches of road allowing higher speed limits or motorcycles inching so close to your vehicle its so frightening. :/ there are soo many motorbikes here who cut in out in out seemingly without much of a care and the laws arent abided by by other motorists much either. so that was part of the challenge. :) the main roads also are much less developed. anw, the highway was the fun part. traveled more on the second lane (for slow poke cars like ours) BUT when i actually dared to step harder on the accelerator i overtook cars! wheepie. and i beat two red traffic lights! :X it was exhilarating! :) reached a max of 90kmh. hahaha it is really so so much fun. and kor dont be jealous! ive only 2 over hours of driving experience but over only 2 days!

lucky's bark is so much worse than its bite. the crazy dog here goes berserk at the sight of anyone but is actually so tame.
